Dear Gates Chili School Community,
On behalf of the Gates Chili Board of Education, I want to share that Board Member Nicole Littlewood has resigned from the Board of Education, effective immediately.
Since first joining the board in July 2021, Nicole has served our district with unwavering dedication and a steadfast commitment to students, staff and families. Throughout her time on the Board, she has generously shared her time and expertise through service on numerous Board committees, including the District Improvement Team and Ad Hoc committee. Drawing on her professional background in special education, Nicole has also been a passionate advocate for ensuring every student has the support and opportunities they need to succeed.
Serving on a board of education is a significant commitment, and Nicole has approached that responsibility with integrity, thoughtfulness and a genuine desire to make Gates Chili a stronger school community. On behalf of the entire Board of Education, I extend our sincere gratitude for her years of dedicated service and the many contributions she has made to our district.
Nicole's resignation creates a vacancy on the Board of Education. In accordance with New York State Education Law, the Board will begin the process of filling the vacant seat. Information about the application process, eligibility requirements, and next steps will be shared at the next board meeting.
